65th Festival of Sport (FOS) – Shooting Fun Day will be held on 24 July (Sunday) at Hong Kong ISSF Air Gun Shooting Centre. When we are enjoying shooting, following safety rules is important in having a comprehensive experience. These regulations will be introduced below.

To commence with, we should treat the gun as loaded all the time. Safety check is needed. Shooters should lock the slide back and insert a safety flag into the barrel to ensure no bullets, which can be defined as a safe condition.

Secondly, when holding the gun, shooter should never place his/her finger on the trigger. It should be placed outside the trigger guard. The guns should also point at the direction of the target.

Thirdly, the number of the target must be the same as the number of the firing point. The condition of the target should be checked at the same time.

Last but not least, never take drugs (including medicine, antipyretics and medicine that causes drowsiness) or alcohol before shooting. The impact on personal judgment should not be underestimated.
