Sports Trivia (Rowing)

65th Festival of Sport - Summer Rowing Festival will be held on 13 August and 14 August (Saturday and Sunday) at Wan Chai Water Sports and Recreation Precinct. Rowers need to take the use of force, the proper stroke cycle, stroke distance, and stroke rate into account, which might be difficult to handle for beginners. Do you know how beginners start to learn rowing?

Beginners can start their rowing journey from board rowing. A rowing board is composed of a stand-up paddle board and a rowing frame. Despite the fact that a rowing board is more balanced and stable than a traditional rowing board, rowers can feel the boat speed and try to use different techniques to cope with different waves, which requires some basic rowing skills. When rowing beginners put the rigging frame on the rowing board and maintain the center of gravity, they can then easily keep themselves balanced and master the basic skills.
