65th FOS – Summer Rowing Festival

Date: 13 August - 14 August 2022 (Saturday to Sunday)

Venue: Wan Chai Water Sports and Recreation Precinct

Time: 12:00 – 18:00

Co-organizer: Hong Kong China Rowing Association

 

The event ceremony and the Cross Harbour Parade will be held on 13 August (Saturday) afternoon. 25 single and double rowing boards will travel from Wan Chai to Tsim Sha Tsui and return to the starting point. The public can join and witness these special moments under the sunlight of Victoria Harbour.

 

Other than the Cross Harbour Parade, exhibition with rowing boat, coastal boat and board rowing, 1-minute ergo challenge, and AR/VR indoor rowing experience will be offered for walk-in participants. To arouse the public’s interest in board rowing, a water rowing pool will be provided for the public to experience board rowing on the ground.

 

Board rowing trial session will be opened for registration on 2 August (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. The event details are as follows:

Time: 12:00 – 18:00 (20 minutes per session)

Venue: Wan Chai Water Sports and Recreation Precinct

Content: With the guidance of the experienced coaches, participants will have a double board rowing experience at Wan Chai Water Sports and Recreation Precinct

Quota: 4 people per session

Registration date and time: 2 August 2022 (Tuesday) 10 a.m. – 12 August 2022 (Friday) (Registration will close when the quota is full)

65th FOS – The 4^th Motorsport Festival

Date: 20 August - 21 August 2022 (Saturday to Sunday)

Venue: The Arcade, Cyberport

Time: 10:00 – 18:00

Co-organizer: Hong Kong Automobile Association

 

Apart from the digital motorsport and esports experience zone offered in the previous roving exhibition, esports demonstration matches, booths, as well as Formula E and other race car displays. The development of motorsport in Hong Kong, such as the history of the Hong Kong Automobile Association and athletes’ equipment, will be introduced comprehensively. It can undoubtedly broaden the public’s understanding through diverse and informative knowledge, as well as the detailed introduction by professional staff.

 

On the other hand, Motorsport Industry Exhibition and Workshop will be held during the event. Motorsport athletes will be invited to share their experiences in different tournaments and training. It is attractive for the public to know about their stories and teamwork when the athlete competes in a complicated routine with his helmet at an extremely high speed. Also, the race car is the best partner of a motorsport athlete. Every component is crucial to the performance and safety of a race car. The manufacturer of these components will share its function and participants will understand how technology helps the development of motorsport. 65th FOS - Gymnastics Fun Day

Date: 28 August 2022 (Sunday)

Venue: Plaza Hollywood 1/F Stars Atrium

Time: 13:00 – 18:00

Co-organizer: The Gymnastics Association of Hong Kong, China

 

With the detailed instructions delivered by experienced Gymnastics coaches, the public can try on the Trampoline, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Aerobic Gymnastics and enjoy the demonstrations performed by Hong Kong athletes. Registration details will be announced on FOS website soon. Stay tuned!
