Family Fun in Full Swing at the “Family Sports Game 2025” Rugby Athlete Salom YIU Shows Up to Share the Joy of Sports
The Family Sports Game 2025, one of the enhanced events of the 68th Festival of Sport (FOS), wrapped up with great success on 10 and 11 May at Tsuen Wan Sports Centre. Families across the city came to break a sweat and have a blast together. In line with this year’s theme, Let’s Get Moving Together and Enjoy Sports!, the event brought together parents and kids for a weekend filled with exciting physical challenges, laughter, and a whole lot of love, creating joyful memories just in time for the Mother’s Day.
FOS ambassador and rugby player Salom YIU Kam Shing made a special appearance on the Mother’s Day with his son, diving into the activities and enjoying some sporty fun. He also mingled with parents and kids, celebrating the joy of playing together. “I am thrilled to see so many families here,” he said. “Events like this not only bring parents and children closer, but also help kids develop a love for sports from an early age. Facing challenges together builds perseverance, which is the true spirit of sport, and it creates lasting memories for families.”
The event featured a series of themed game zones, from obstacle courses and balance training to team-building challenges. Kids leapt, crawled, and dashed their way through each activity, building coordination, quick thinking and confidence. Meanwhile, parents jumped in as their trusty teammates, helping their little ones tackle every obstacle with cheers and high-fives. Held over Mother’s Day weekend, many families turned the event into a meaningful celebration – giving moms the gift of quality time, healthy fun, and lots of happy giggles.
