The 68th Festival of Sport (FOS) is in full swing this May, offering a series of exciting, educational and engaging sports events under the theme Let’s Get Moving Together and Enjoy Sports!. The third FOS enhanced event, the Hong Kong Shuttlecock Fun Day, took place on 25 May at the Dragon Centre in West Kowloon, attracting over a hundred families spending quality family time together.

The event featured several shuttlecock activity zones where professional coaches showcased impressive shuttlecock tricks and offered hands-on guidance to beginners. Shuttlecock is an easy-to-learn sport that improves balance, coordination and lower limb strength. It can be played solo or as a friendly match across a net, making it both pleasurable and beneficial for all ages. Adults and kids alike had a blast trying out the sport, filling the venue with laughter and cheers. Many participants enjoyed their first experience of shuttlecock, saying that the event offered them an opportunity to learn more about the sport and created unique, memorable moments for parent-child bonding.

More Sports Fun Continue through May and June
Beyond the shuttlecock event, the 68th FOS will continue to deliver a variety of dynamic events throughout May and June, including competitions, sports demonstrations and fun days for the public. The last enhanced event, the Flying Disc Fun Day (14 June), is set to offer another opportunity to people of all ages and interests to experience the joy and energy of sports together.
