“Sport for All Fun Day” Wraps Up Dynamic Line-up of Sports Experiences Attracts Citywide Participation
The 69th Festival of Sport (FOS) continues to bring a series of exciting activities to the community in June. One of the enhanced events, the “Sport for All Fun Day”, was successfully held at Kowloon Park Sports Centre on 28 June 2026, drawing enthusiastic participation from families and members of the public. The lively atmosphere was further elevated as this year’s FOS Ambassadors, TSANG Cham Yuen (Basketball) and LAM Yee Lok (Table Tennis), joined in the fun to try out various sports. They encouraged the public to embrace an active lifestyle and enjoy quality family time through sports.
As one of this summer’s largest sport-for-all community events, the fun day featured more than 10 interactive booths and challenge zones, offering participants a one-stop opportunity to explore a wide range of emerging and distinctive sports. The diverse programme included "Sport for All" Interactive Games, functional fitness challenges, rope skipping, kickboxing, wrestling, curling and line dancing experiences. With guidance from professional coaches and staff, participants learned the key features and basic skills of each sport through games and hands-on challenges, while discovering new personal interests. The fun day also featured a dedicated padel experience zone, spotlighting this new sport to be included in the 2026 Asian Games. The zone attracted strong interest from participants, who were eager to experience the unique charm of padel first-hand.
Many participants said the “Sport for All Fun Day” introduced them to sports they rarely have the chance to try, describing the experience as both fun and challenging. Parents also shared that by engaging in different booths, children not only developed an interest in sports, but also learned to embrace new things and face challenges with confidence, making the event highly meaningful and educational.
Exciting Sports Events Continue Throughout July
The 69th FOS will continue to present a wide range of exciting activities following the “Sport for All Fun Day”. A series of sports experiences and competitions will take place throughout July, allowing members of the public to stay active during the summer holidays and enjoy the fun of different sports.
Another enhanced event, the “VRC Wave and Aim Summer Festival”, will be held at the Victoria Recreation Club – Emerald Bay in Sai Kung on 25 July. Combining summer-themed interactive experiences with sporting elements, the event will offer a rich line-up of water sports, including canoe polo, stand-up paddle polo, outrigger canoeing, and dragon boating. Members of the public of all ages are encouraged to join and discover the unique appeal of water sports this summer.
Organized by SF&OC and subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the 69th FOS runs from April to August under the theme “One Line of Energy, A City in Motion”. More than 50 sports activities are taking place across Hong Kong to promote sport for all, encouraging active community participation, and inspiring the public to enjoy the physical and mental benefits of an active lifestyle.
