The 64th Festival of Sport (FOS), organized by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) and subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, has been organizing various events together with the National Sports Associations (NSAs). With the theme of “NEW OR NORMAL!”, a series of new experiences were brought to the public including the first virtual sports carnival and Grassroot Football Festival and FOS will further its promotion activities into the community. The 64th Festival of Sport Summer Rowing Festival, co-organized by the Hong Kong China Rowing Association, will be held on 18 July (Sunday) at VESSEL 03 in Kwun Tong. VESSEL 03 will be turned into a rowing racing lane and aim to uplift the sports atmosphere to welcome the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

A series of fun activities, including game booths with rowing experience, will be opened for free for the public to enjoy at the 64th Festival of Sport Summer Rowing Festival. Activities include “on-water board rowing experience, “1-minute indoor rowing challenge”, an endurance challenge for participants, “Rowing x Olympic Quiz Challenge”, a test of participants’ multitasking skills, “Balance Training Exercises” and more games. Public also has the opportunity to take a closer look at the racing boat and take pictures at the “BIG Rowing Exhibition” to gain unique sports experience.

The 64th Festival of Sport Summer Rowing Festival is free of charge and advocates “Sports for All” to encourage families enjoy sports together to welcome the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The public can get FOS e-certificate and souvenir after finishing the activities and stand a chance to get the FOS souvenir “Move Together to Countdown to the Olympic Games – Advent Calendar” which combined online and offline elements. One Olympic sports and one fitness exercise will be shown after unveiling a date on the calendar. Public may find the related sports information and fitness exercise demonstration on fos.hkolympic.org. Get a chance to learn more about the Olympic sports while getting in shape by following the fitness exercises day by day and make exercise a habit with friends and family in a fun way.
